Background and Focus

As a 14 year old in 1966, I was afforded the opportunity to work 2 hours a day as a messenger for a Rochester, New York law firm. I seized the chance and continued for all four years of high school turning the job into a more expanded position averaging 20-25 hours per week. I attended college locally and remained with Connors, Corcoran, Hall and Meyering further expanding my responsibilities and hours worked to 30-35 per week.

Following College, I took a year off to earn money for my law school expenses working full time at the Firm. Throughout my 3 years of law school, I came back to Rochester and worked full time during the summer months. I was hired as an Associate upon graduation and as a Partner after 4 years and Managing Partner the following year. My focus was personal injury defense litigation throughout those years with experience in contract and real estate areas as well.

Ready for a change after 36 years at the same Law Firm, I accepted an offer from Cellino and Barnes to focus on representation of personal injury clients. I was able to apply my unique perspective gained from insight into the insurance industry for the benefit of my individual clients. I was often told by the Principals at Cellino and Barnes that I had the most referrals from exiting clients and the least complaints as I prided myself on developing relationships and being personally responsive and pro-active with my clients. I was the “go to guy” for other Attorneys within the office when they had legal or strategy questions.

Exposed to both sides of contract and negligence issues and tempered by my over 20 years of experience as a Commercial Arbitrator for the AAA, I am ready and qualified to apply my talents for resolution of others’ legal dilemmas.
